It Watches
The bunker tracks the location of the player and indeed every character at all times. It’s motive is to herd the characters into the lower levels where they can be digested fully.
- This means it can spring traps or set up scenarios as it sees fit
- A well timed crash or bang behind the player could set them up
- Some automatically locking doors
- Lights dimming/flickering when the player has been standing still too long
- Objects in the bunker get very slight rotation offset when out of view
Sounds which come closer over time, dripping water, claws scraping metal, something being dragged along. As they come closer it will sound like it’s following the player.
It’s Alive
Vents, air ducts, fans, etc. all expel dust/gas and then intake dust/gas timed as a breathing motion.
Some lights only turn on when the player is close, then off again when they are not.
An unnatural heartbeat can sometimes be heard, especially on the lower levels.
Times when there is unnatural silence, vents stop, sounds stop, the bunker is holding it’s breath in anticipation.
